Jim and his crew have been working on our classics since 2009. The quality of their work is top notch as evidenced by numerous complimentary comments of spectators. Be sure to see them first.

Jim’s Rod Shop is the real deal! I was referred to Jim’s by San Simala (Yuma Transmission). When I asked San if he could repair my transmission in my 1934 Ford along with some other improvements I had in the mill. NO was the answer. I don’t have the time. I then asked who could. Stan didn’t hesitate, Jim’s Rod Shop. I called Jim the next day, and after a lengthy conversation make an appointment. Jim explained his operation in detail, then gave me the grand tour. The next day Jim picked up my car for a ride to the shop. I later got a call from Kevin asking to come down and discuss the restoration of my 1934 project. I explained my vision of what the car should have, Kevin listened and then, made excellent suggestions. This continued until we were both on the same page. Then the Whitener magic began. Each project has a name, mine is “Lovely Cruiser”. All projects are photographed and posted on the internet so you can follow the progress. Needless to say, all came out as planned and I’m a happy Hot Rodder. I highly recommend you do yourself a favor, stop by and witness the Whitener magic in person.

The "Awesome" crew at Jim's Rod Shop have worked on so many of my projects I have lost count! Kevin always makes sure I leave with the ability to do a proper burn out with a smile on my face! It's nice to meet other customers and listen to the memories of the love for Hotrods! I enjoy spending time watching the projects from start to finish whenever I get a chance to stop in. I have made several friendships over the years at Jim's and am always greeted with a smile when I walk in the door. One of my favorite places to stop and enjoy some quality time. Thanks for all you do for so many.

SERVICE, SERVICE, SERVICE !!! Sincere, honest workmanship. Our expectations of a project well done on our 1956 Willys jeep, was accomplished. JIM and I are looking forward to moving ahead on the next project. Owner's as well as employees were top knotched with their representation in all they do at Jim's Rod Shop LLC. We highly recommend this very user friendly business. Respectfully Jim, Eva Clayton.

Kevin, Jim and their crew are great. I’ve taken 2 vehicles to them and the work has been perfect. Amazing quality at a fair price and a great attention to detail. We’re slowly finishing our 1966 c10 and look forward to bringing them more projects in future even though we live 8 hour’s away.

Superb service! Everyone at Jim’s provides superior customer service and work. We took our daughters 2017 Toyota Tacoma in for a lift, upgraded the suspension, and changed out the grill. They worked on it with care and paid attention to the details. Not only does Kevin go the extra mile professionally he and Jim have become like family.

My husband left me his "57" Vet. I contacted Jim's Rod Shop. I asked them to put in power steering, power brakes and to go through the mechanics. I wanted the car to be dependable. I was so pleased with the work. The shop transformed the car from my husbands ride to mine. The vet drives like a dream. The price was fair and the service was outstanding. Thank you

Jim's rod shop did a great job on my 1950 Studebaker pickup.  My pickup had a different steering column put in and went through the drivetrain.  Truck runs like new now and I just wish I went there long ago!!  Highly recommend these guys, prices are very competitive but we'll worth it!

Where do I start these people are great they worked their butts off for me and brought my baby to life. Hands down the best choice I made was bringing my 1970 El Camino to Jim and Kevin Them and their crew do outstanding work and work with you along the way. I wouldn't expect nothing less from a Christian ran hot rod shop... It has been a blessing To do business with them & I will be back...😎👍 Thanks again guys to you and your crew & the ladies in the office....

I would highly recommend anyone to take their vehicle to Jim's Rod Shop. Jim & Kevin are great people to work with. They installed a super-charged 6.2 liter LSA engine in my 69 GTO. They replaced the automatic transmission with a 6-speed TR-60-60 standard transmission. It takes a lot of knowledge to convert a new engine & transmission into a 50 year old car let me tell you. They did it & Kevin kept me informed all the way.

Jim and his team has done high quality work on our 1929 Ford pickup, from under the hood to a super paint job. From the shop to the office everyone is friendly and so very helpful. They are all great people. Would highly recommend them.

Hi all, Dan here. Just leaving a note about Jim, Kevin, and the guys at the shop. Jim's Rod Shop has worked on my three cars over the last year or so. Very happy with all of the work completed so far and more work to do. These cars are two 1964 Impala SS and a 72 Corvette. Excellent shop, spotless, and great communication while work is being done. Kevin and I have become good friends and Jim and I have become quit good friends, we have had numerous good lunches and a couple of great outtings. I expect to be having future work done on the cars. Keep up the good work guys, see you when we get back in town.

The guys at Jim's Rod Shop did an excellent job on my Mustang. My car was well outside their normal work, but they handled it in stride. They helped me start my frame up restoration by reinforcing the frame and removing any thought of rust. They also sealed everything permanently with a mix of Raptor Liner and Lizard Skin. They also did what Ford couldn't and made my engine bay show worthy by cleaning up all of the factory holes and seams. Lastly, they installed a full track suspension from Maximum Motorsports. Again I couldn't be happier. Thanks to Jim, Kevin, Dylan, Ryan, and the rest of the team for their hard work!

Jim's Rod Shop is a fantastic business that has done plenty of quality work on my 70' Chevelle SS. Their work is of the highest quality, and the team Jim has built are friendly, honest, and very talented. If you have a ride that you need to have work done to it, I highly recommend you give Jim or Kevin a call - you won't be disappointed.

Jim's shop did an engine swap on my 65 Mustang that is going to be a gift to my father. They did a great job! Kevin kept in constant contact and discussed everything before they did it. We discussed my budget and they kept everything within range. Jim also gave me a tour of the shop and showed me the other projects they had going, as a classic car fan that was very cool!

I will forever be grateful to the gentleman who told me about Jim's Rod Shop. We had been looking for years to find a shop of experts that specialize in restoring old cars like our 1964 Dodge Town and Country Van. Everyone there really knows exactly what is needed. Every time we visit, they are super friendly and explain in detail what has been done. Now that it is running, we are so excited that it is almost time for them to paint it.

My wife and I look forward each time we visit the shop to see the radical change in our 67' mustang. Jim/ Kevin and their crews are truly one of a kind when it comes to restoration of classic cars. Their wide array of knowledge, skill at their trade craft, and professionalism are reasons why we will continue to come back.....(hopefully when we find that 68' cougar). Their business has truly been blessed from Heaven above. Hat's off to the team and can't wait till we can jump in the resurrected 'stang and eat the road again.

Kevin and his dad are top notch professionals, true artists and craftsmen of their trade...and as my wife says "in a class of their own" when it comes to resurrecting classic cars. I have had the honor of watching Jim/Kevin and his crew take a 53 year car that sat for 15 years in the elements and raise it from the ashes. The 67' Mustang Fastback is set to become a daily driver (with a little kick in the pants) when it is ready to launch. While we are awed by Jim Rod's Shop quality and care of work...we are most impressed with the employees at the shop. They are kind and always willing to take time out of their busy schedules to answer questions and show us around. Kev and his dad are one of a kind....they have been blessed by Heaven above and it shows in their character as well as their work.

Jim’s built my 1939 ford coupe. This car has been in the family since my great grandfather bought it off the showroom. Kevin knows how important this car is to my family and has been amazing every step of the way and has taken care of whatever I needed and then some! He has definitely earned plenty of future business from me and I highly recommend Jim’s rod shop!! Thank you guys for everything!

My journey with Jim's Rod Shop started about three years ago when I was looking for a place to have my 1970 Mach 1 Mustang painted. I spoke with Jim on the phone ( super great guy!), and the rest is history. Whether it's engine, transmission, body, paint, or interior these guys really know their stuff and take great pride in doing the job right. I've had 3 of my vehicles worked on at Jim's... my '70 Mach1, '66 Mustang, and the '56 Chevy and they have done beautiful work! It's safe to say I'll be a customer for life. :-) If you are looking for a place to update that classic car sitting in your garage, bring it over and let Jim, Kevin, and the Guys get you excited about the possibilities!!! To everyone who works at Jim's, many thanks and much love...you guys ARE THE BEST!!!

Have a 1956 Chevy that they are working on. I am very happy with the work that has been done to the car thus far. Kevin has been very communicative in informing me with updates, photos and videos of the project. I am glad that they are working on the car as I trust their experience and willingness to make it how the customer wants it done.

We are so happy that we were turned on to Jim’s Rod Shop. Jim and his awesome team have worked on 3 of our cars; a 69 Bronco, 71 Bronco, and a 2008 Corvette. The work they have completed is outstanding, completely top-of-the-line. Jim and Kevin are so good to communicate with their customers and let them know what they have learned about the project they are working on. All of them, from the girls in the office to the guys in the shop, are welcoming. The shop facilities are immaculate with up-to-date equipment and tools. We are now lifetime customers and happy to callJim and the crew, “friends “.

Jim, I had a wonderful experience in dealing with you and your business. I brought you my 57 Chevy 210 for a transmission change and start up, and throughout the entire evolution you helped save me money, but never at the cost of safety or lower quality products. Thank you and all your personnel for taking the time to show me the progress and parts used in my build. Every time I see that manual shifter coming out of the floorboard of my 57, brings back immeasurably joyful memories of my childhood with my dad. To you, Kevin, and the all of the great people that work at Jim's Rod Shop, Thank you.

Jim's Rod Shop put an independent front suspension on my 57 Chevy pickup, now called "grampyjojo's truck". They did a great job and the truck rides and tracks so much better than with the old straight axle, even though it already had up graded hubs with disc brakes. They also installed a Vintage Air air conditioning system. Now it can be driven in comfort year around here. No doubt I will ask them to do any future work on the truck and will recommend them to others.

I could not be happier with the work Jim and his team put in on my ‘69 Pontiac LeMans. I inherited the car from my Grandfather who was the original owner. They treated the vehicle with the same care and respect I would have. I won’t take the car to anyone else. Lots of work remains to be done and the team at Jim’s Rod shop are the only ones I trust to do it.

Put on your sun glasses when you go in! Because the chrome on those cool cars will blind you! Because it's not cool if your chrome don't shine! The pride that Jim and his crew take to make sure your ride stands out, is what keeps me coming back! Watching these cars come to life is keeping the history of Hotrods alive!

You guys are the best! Love the fact that you allow /encourage customers to come in and look around and even let me do some things on "Ol Sol". Us car enthusiasts love cars and many of us want to be involved and get our hands dirty and learn more about our cars. What makes them tick and what makes them better. In my case ,there are so many things customized and changed from original ,I was not comfortable digging in like I usually do, without some expertise to guide me. Kevin is especially helpful and a great guy as is everyone else.

Jim and his staff always welcome me and friends of mine who come to town, it's my favorite tourist attraction stop. Jim always makes people welcome and they never forget him. Jim has helped me for the last 10 years as I have rebuilt my 1962 Pontiac Bonneville. It's nice to have such a high quality Rod Shop here in Yuma and such a great friend like Jim.

You have the best of the best of all the cars I have seen, I used to have a 1970 Buick Wildcat with a 455 4 barrel, I should have kept it but I just got lazy and sold it. It is still in Yuma but I do not know who has it.Now that I am 80 1/2 years old I just enjoy looking at all the other cars. I started ut with a 1937 Dodge many years ago and only paid $50.00 I just can not keep up with the times. I now enjoy my retirement and still going strong, you and your team are the best of the best. I have seen some nice shops in my travels since retirement, however none as nice and clean as this shop. Your shop is the Epitome of a beautiful Rod Shop. How you have 8-10 Techs working in the main shop and the Body shop and maintain such a clean working Atmosphere is surely a testament to your perfection. I just wanted to congratulate you and tell you I have never seen 30 some odd projects all going at once and the attention to detail. It is mindboggling. Keep up the wonderful work Jim. Your crew were the most professional and courteous I have ever seen. Big Thumbs up to you.

MR. Jim: Outstanding efforts at your shop and on the website. Nice seeing "TinkerBelle" on the web sight as good advertisement for Naval Academy admissions! She re-earned her old name "TinkerBelle" as that car flies now, since you got her back up to battle-trim.
